Lyndon Outing Clubsince 1937

Saturday, August 27th at 10 am, The LOC Bike Park Officially Opens

At last! After almost four years of behind-the-scenes work – grant writing, wetland permits, and planning – Lyndon Outing Club is excited to announce the official opening of the Lyndon Outing Club Bike Park.

Join us Saturday, August 27th at 10 am to help open and ride the trail for FREE. This is a hike-up, ride-down experience. Our test riders have reported the trail to be a fun ride and a great workout. Plus, Single Track will be on site from 10 am to noon with delicious offerings. Save the date!

Thanks to Real Life Adventures for their outstanding efforts and our biking community for your patience as we navigated the permitting and build processes.

Snowmaking plans for the Outing Club

The Lyndon Outing Club started work on bringing snowmaking to the hill in April. With unreliable natural snow and last year only being open for about eight days due to lack of snowfall, the Outing Club felt it was time to look at snowmaking. While there is much work to be done in the planning, permitting, and execution, the committee has spoken to Cochran’s Ski Hill in Richmond, Hard’ack Recreational Area in St. Albans, and others involved in snowmaking to learn about their systems and develop a plan.

The committee is also actively seeking donations. Below you will find the two latest status reports. If you would like to donate or help with the project instead of a monetary donation once we are ready to build, please contact David Wiliams at (802) 745-7115 or Wendy Beattie at (802) 626-9781 or email board@skilyndon.com.

Join us for the Annual Spring Clean-up Day on Sunday May 1st, 2022

Sunday, May 1st is Lyndon Outing Club’s annual spring clean-up from 9 am-1 pm. Get together with friends and neighbors and lend a hand for an hour or two to help Lyndon Outing Club get ready for spring and summer.

CLOSED FOR SKIING AND RIDING UNTIL NEXT SEASON

The 2021/2022 season may not have been the one everyone dreamed about, but we had a lot of fun for the week or so we were open. The Lyndon Outing Club looks forward to seeing you all back here next winter, with hopefully more snow and a longer operating period!

The Conditions on the Hill are the BEST in Years!

Thanks to the massive snowfall this week, we now have the best conditions we’ve had in years at the Lyndon Outing Club. Yesterday Jan Eric Welch came out to film some of our trails and made this promo video. Our opening night was also a huge success with fresh powder galore. We all love night skiing here at the LOC, but daytime skiing is where some epic fun is to be had. We have so many fantastic groomed trails from the summit for all skill levels. Watch this video to get a taste of the conditions on The Face, Wheeler’s Way, Lion’s Den, Suicide, and Apple Orchard. We are open for day skiing on Saturdays from 10 am-4 pm and Sundays from noon-4 pm. Ski the face under the lights on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 6-9 pm.

2021/2022 COVID-19 Protocols at the Lyndon Outing Club

When we get closer to our opening, we will post and follow the State of Vermont’s guidance related to COVID-19 protocols. As these are constantly changing, make sure to check back here before coming to ski the hill.
