The 2021/2022 Season is Approaching

Now that we’ve seen the first signs of winter with scattered snowfall here in the Northeast Kingdom, we are eagerly awaiting another ski and ride season at the Lyndon Outing Club. This year we will be celebrating the 60th Anniversary of running a T-Bar on Shonyo Hill. We typically open in early January but have been known to open sooner when blessed with enough snow by Mother Nature. We have some exciting new things planned for this season and cannot wait to share them all with you!

Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to keep up to date with all things happening at the LOC.

The LOC is now recruiting lift operators for the upcoming season.

To apply, you must be 18yrs or older, able to work evenings and weekends, able to work in cold and snowy weather. You must have the proper gear for working outside. Our lift operators are friendly, energetic, fun, and safe ambassadors and a vital part of the LOC family. Shifts are Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 6 to 9 PM. Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM Sunday from noon to 4 PM.

There is a possibility that operators may be needed for Sunday morning sledding as well. Volunteers are encouraged and welcomed, we provide all training. If we can’t get enough volunteers we will have to hire. We can’t open without you. Three operators are needed for each shift. To find out more or to apply contact Susan Russell at 802-274-2951 or by email: suetopia.ent@gmail.com.

Extended Saturday Daytime Skiing Hours for the 2021/2022 Season!

New for the 2021/22 season: We will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays (previously opening at noon) to add two more hours of daytime skiing. All other ski sessions and hours remain the same. Ticket prices will remain the same as last year with some free or reduced days through the season (these will be posted on the website and on our Facebook Page they become available). You can see operating hours and lift ticket pricing here.

Local Food Trucks to Operate out of the LOC Kitchen on Saturday Nights

The board is working on a newly updated kitchen menu and hopes to partner with some food trucks to provide various local food experiences on Saturday Nights this winter during ski season!

Volunteer At the Lyndon Outing Club: Kitchen Manager Needed!!!

The Lyndon Outing Club, one of the oldest volunteer ski clubs in Vermont, has created a new volunteer position, kitchen manager. The kitchen manager will preside over our “snack bar” in our small ski lodge! This is a non-paid position. Be part of the community while lending to the atmosphere, fun, and service at Lyndon Outing Club. Sharing stories, glowing faces, and knowing you are helping your community is the pay. Managing the kitchen and helping cook is the other part. We have a pool of volunteers who are available for some shifts. We need a manager who will work shifts, coordinate the scheduling and training of the Outing Club’s volunteers and take care of shopping and menu planning.

Food buying (LOC pays for all kitchen needs), cleanup, and such are other responsibilities. Once the snow permits, the Outing Club is expected to be open this season Saturday, 10:00 – 4:00 PM, Sunday 12:00 – 4:00 PM, and Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights 6:00-9:00 PM. If you would like to be the kitchen manager for this amazing organization, please let us know. Send a message through Facebook or call: Sue at 802-274-2951 or Wendy at 802-626-9781

2021/2022 COVID-19 Protocols at the Lyndon Outing Club

When we get closer to our opening, we will post and follow the State of Vermont’s guidance related to COVID-19 protocols. As these are constantly changing, make sure to check back here before coming to ski the hill.
