Lyndon Outing Club Weather Forecast 3/3-3/7

Although the first day of March provided conditions similar to the last day of the month, winter is back! Mid-winter conditions prevail through the weekend before a modest warm-up next week. Therefore you will want to head up the rope tow or T-bar to get some fresh turns while they last. A period of light snow continues through Wednesday evening before another blast of light snow comes Thursday night through Friday. If you plan on skiing or riding one evening this week or over the weekend, plenty of fresh snow will be found. You sure will want to grab that extra face mask or layer as blustery northwest winds come Friday into the start of the weekend, supplying that extra winter chill.

Wednesday Evening: Cloudy with light snow showers. Temperatures in the teens. Northwest winds less than 10 mph.

Friday Evening: Mostly cloudy and blustery with a few lingering snow showers. Cold with temperatures falling to around 10. Wind chills around and below zero.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy and blustery. Highs in the upper teens to around 20.

Saturday Evening: Partly cloudy. Remaining cold with temperatures falling through the teens. Wind chills around zero.

Sunday: Partly sunny. Highs in the lower to mid 20s.

Forecaster: Chris Kurdek from the Fairbanks Museum
